So this is our last official demo release. It's the first recordings with Eliot on Drums and Evan on Bass. It's also our first recording after losing Rob Carpenter. Unfortunately the replacement we got was very young which created some issues that might have had a hand in our eventual break up. But more importantly We are glad to have these recordings with Eliot and Evan because they had been doing so much for ION in support of the full length and never really got the credit for it. So having these recordings with them is great for us. The songs I think still hold up. We were experimenting with more concise songwriting at the time. We wanted our songs to be fun, so incorporating some actual fun into metal songs was also something we were trying to do. We were never the most technical band. We never aimed to be either. We just wrote shit that was fun to play at shows. In some ways I think we did a lot of things right here with these songs, but we also were hitting new walls that we hadn't really experienced before too. I think these songs show that we weren't ready to throw in the towel yet. These still don't feel phoned in to me, this was still a very hungry band. these songs were written a few months before we broke up, and we were playing shows on these songs, so there was some time from this demo to the final decision to call it quits. At the time, we were pretty fragile, and it really only took one little nudge to send us over the top. Unfortunately sometimes that's all it takes......
