Licht Erlischt... - The Offshore Oaks

He whom existence itself has marked,
Walks onwards...
Below decrepid bones a path,
A narrow alley below oaken skies.
Which leave but few gaps
For higher lights to pass.

His obscure forest of time,
A Command:
Cross!
Or crush yourself...

He whom existence itself has marked,
With piercing irons of twisted irrationality,
Struggles through.

A narrow path nestling between thorns,
Rampant bushes, wild and in transparent,
Which appear to keep ahold of him,
To seize the irrational king,
Now victim, now prey,
To reaching arms, summoned by himself.

A passage, so narrow, so unsafe,
Leaves little space to evade
these claws,
over constant periods of time.

Annual steps beyond his path of sanity,
Have not remained annual,
As he discovered his ability,
To stumble over the same vicious rocks,
Which had encountered a million times before.

Dodging these rocks,
Will force him into all eternity,
To bow,
To the sprouting green endless,

I saw the most brilliant men of my time,
Go to waste in a world designed for the weak,
Where creations bow to all but most to a master,
Who has no better advice than to turn the other cheek.

I see peasants claiming crowns, to take a logic down,
I see scepter-wielding scum on high thrones,
To pray and feast on traditions and the union,
Spit in the face of which has kept them all alive.

The few who still make use of their heads have seized
To change the world,
To tear themselves to shreds in vain,
And though for long the arms lay silent,
Fading footsteps on the path are now filled
By an old alliance,
To deliver an overarching blow!
To free the world from yet another plague!

Her plan has filled my heart with trust in powers
higher than those devine,
Contain more wrath than any mushroom cloud may bear.
I do not fear the final strike of the reaper,
Waist no more time, let tomorrow be the end.

Have you ever wondered why the waters rise?
To erase whatever in this mainland lies.
Have you ever wondered where the winters hide?
Sacred visions deconstructed by a light
That came to stay.

Have you ever dreamed our end that nigh?
Perhaps your omnipotent god knows why.
As unforeseen as the time to pass will the counsel sound
To Stand content and await the overarching blow

Behold, the might of the waters,
Tamed and banned to the cauldrons,
Effervescent, yet in the depth: unquenchable lights
To overexpose my wounds...

Hail to the caldrons!
With power to reconstruct dreams extinct,
In the fires of time...
I speak of a potion,
With power to resurrect the dead,
Stay, my transient muse! Don't vanish with the dawn!

Oh radiant caldron, why must you shine so bright?
I fear you froth a hidden truth.
I picture you as the last beacon in the night,
To prove to this reaches that it has failed.

As the froth does clear I see a mirror
And afraid of my own face, I retreat
But less and less, I fear, seems worth it,

Glorious oaks of the now, reach out,
Shape the fields with thy majestic shades,
Deny all witch lingers below... the sun,
Be the unknown reason why all beauty fades.

Giants, know the price for thy dominance,
Within the winds, who never seize to return,
Who shall bring doom to the rootles.
Proove to be...sober reality,
And shall the final blow take you down,
Stretch thy wings,
And bury as much as you can...

Day by day thou perceiveth thy
Declension of spirit
And yet no sigh of the end is nigh
Neither abhor nor fear it.

Life in a worthless world bears fruits
Declension of spirit
Fragile stands an oak devoid of roots,
Whilst grass bends careless in the wind.

When a beacon, last of its kind on the moonless shore,
fails to guide the ships home from the raging sea.
A beacon fades, and thundering cliffs ever nearer draw,

One night I ventured the vaults,
One night I entered godforsaken halls,
One night I descended down stairways to caves unknown
Fo I had abandoned my strength to seek for lights to own.

Howling winds afar, they dwelled,
And lured as to embrace and consume a life,
Which cursed the skies, the light of day,
For mankind, mind and treasure's decay.

In want of murder, in want of faith,
I stumbled, spiralled down steps and gazed,
And felt the cold of night behind and soon no more
Where the laws to abide...

'Twas the void I followed, tunnels, grime the screams of mental beasts.
Echoes so hollow, conducted entities of voices in agony.

I witnessed stars that never fade, up in fluorescent skies,
Ablaze as to preach of time's demise.

I witnessed creatures, wretched and dugged creations,
Adapted to the tiles in squares, in sleazy shades they crawled.
Too close to rails they linger, too pale this emptiness,
To resist the leap's temptation at the first sound of the horn.

Shall this be the last of journeys taken?
Or shall I, crouched in hallways, be destined to awake=
To ascend, and venture further,
I ascend and venture far.
