Abated Mass Of Flesh - Echoes Of Atrocity

Sowing the seeds of wrath
How these words devour
Some shall grow
Some will be choked
Rip our cursed selves
From the hold of thorny tongues
Devouring words
From repulsive throats
The stench of the decomposed
Lingering unto infection
Forgiveness shows too pale
And the sun goes down upon me
Another knife to bury
Another Tomb to fill

How much longer until I see the end
For I know my days are numbered
Mind runs astray
Contaminating the peace within me
What means of solace
What means of escape
When I curse and cry out Your name
I see myself upon a cross a shame
Condemning all of my infectious acts
More like Your son, more like myself
A cruel balance lies upon me
The crushing weight of atrocity
Make swift Your hand
To cover all the shame of what I cannot be

Trapped within Your eyes
Between fear and shame
This part of me
Hid in my apathy
Transmission lost
As vile thoughts consume me
These binding scales
And grace You’ve given clearly
What more than to acquire
When I have nothing left
Barrier of disgust
And a hatred sealed within
Provoking thoughts
Bind me to myself
Dismantled, withered
In contrast to Your mercy
Show me how to love
Into the images of Your making
Show me how to die
Receiving in Your taking
Creation will groan
Anticipating this new reign
Through afflicting deception

What is the meaning of life
Our purpose here
While idly I roam about the earth
Seeking, searching
Answers escape me
As soon as I can almost taste it
It slips away again
Defeat swallows me whole
Consuming me in impenetrable darkness
Is this all there is
How forever lost
Taking any sense of purpose with it
Days, hours, seconds pass
Hearing each tick of the clock
I waste away

Given over unto death
Life shall have its way
Infectious state of stillness
Birthing life into this glory
Nourished in darkness
Waiting for the light
Shrouded eyes and pain untold
Death shall bring true life
In the womb of death
All to be revealed
In the womb of death
Our fate’s forever sealed
Conceived into existence
The thin line of red
No choice against resistance
The condition unto death
As mortal shells divide
And spread across the earth
Time refuses not
To wait upon the Birth

And I shall seek Your face
In depths of agony
Your grace falls upon me
Rendered by the might of Your hand
You will sustain me
Who am I?
To earn how you define me
Who am I?
To return to what is dead
Awakened
From the binding torture
No longer ripped from You
You shall dwell in me
As it was meant to be
Forgive me of my absence
Attempts to justify
My own condemnation
You come to purify
Inhabit me, oh Lord
Rid me of the filth
That hides Your from my sight
Make Your peace within me
Forever to be shadowed
Shadowed by Your Light

Once here, only a breath
Vaporized into the unknown
Like a whisper, quiet enough to forget
To remind you why I am there
Like a fraction of the pain unseen
Soon a memory, later to forget
But a chill will call you back
Swift like time, I pass on through
You read right through me
As a message in the sand
Covered over by the oncoming wind
Time will heal and time will forget
You call unto me and dance with death
Like hands so frail bound by what is seen
Whisper my name, remember me
